What is Leader Development?

Who We Are:

At the Ohio Ministry Network, our heartbeat is the transformation of Ohio for Jesus. Central to this mission is our commitment to cultivating and empowering Spirit-led leaders who will carry this vision across every corner of our state. Below are three key areas of focus for the Leader Development Driver. As we focus on these three key areas within our Leader Development Driver, we invite you to join us in shaping a future where Ohio is touched by the transformative power of Jesus through Spirit-empowered leaders.

As we work to develop and deploy Spirit-empowered leaders for healthy multiplying churches and ministries, the Leader Development Driver supports this goal through three Key Result Areas:

Identify & Train

Discipled leaders continue growing while actively discerning gifting in potential leaders, effectively mentoring them with time, prayer and resources.

Care & Coach

Discipled leaders model and celebrate a climate of intentional self-care and ongoing coaching to heighten long-term fulfillment and effectiveness.

Multiply & Mobilize.

If we Identify and Train new leaders and Care for and Coach our new and current leaders, we will Multiply our numbers and Mobilize new leaders to meet our audacious OHIO FOR JESUS goal of 25,000 new leaders by 2030.

Our Commitment to You:

  • Coordinate Called Weekends at Heartland Conference Retreat Center for youth and young adults exploring a vocational ministry calling.

 When & Then:

The “When & Then” commitments are key priorities that require the partnership of Ohio Ministry Network churches and ministers to be accomplished. As more resources become available, we commit to:

  • Invest a portion of each minister’s tithe into their retirement account.

  • Allocate additional Network resources for the expanded care of ministers.

  • Establish localized expressions of SEU Ohio throughout the state.

  • Offer varying levels of SEU scholarships to ministers, spouses & children from Heart for Ohio churches, in addition to scholarships for faithful attendees from Heart for Ohio churches.
